Mr. LaFarge has been the Founder/CEO of companies in several industries including forest products, oil and gas, and healthcare. He has successfully developed and brought to market a number of new products. His last company grew to a $50M market cap before its sale. Mr. LaFarge spent 3 years at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Hospital doing biomedical research.
Robert R. Fanning is the former President and CEO of Northeast Health System, based in Beverly, MA, an integrated health delivery system including Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals, with revenue in excess of $100M annually. Bob has been an active healthcare angel, and has served on the Boards of Directors and Advisors for a number of established and early stage healthcare companies, including Healthcare Property Investors, the largest publicly traded Health Care REIT, Presyce Solutions, SentiCare, Forerun, and Perfect Serve. Bob is also a former Director of the Tufts Associated Health Plan.
Mr. Pomerantz is Chairman of StoneWater Capital LLC. He was most recently a managing director of MESA Partners, LLC. Previously, Mr. Pomerantz was a managing director of Warburg Pincus for 20 years, working in a range of industries including automotive, energy, financial services, retail, and media. Prior to this, Mr. Pomerantz was a public market equities portfolio manager and securities analyst at both Warburg Pincus and Kuhn Loeb for 11 years after serving as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy.
With the exception of a five-year period in the early 1980’s when he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Acme Cleveland Corporation (NYSE), Mr. Bartlett’s career has mainly been in entrepreneurial finance and venture capital. In 1984 he helped found Primus Venture Partners, a Cleveland-based venture capital firm, and subsequently served as one of the firm’s Managing Partners for twenty years and continues as an investor in and advisor to Primus. He also served on the Small Business Advisory Council of the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank and more than two dozen boards of directors, including four NYSE companies.
Dr. Madras graduated from McGill University Medical School as a University Scholar, and completed training in surgery at Harvard, and sub-specialized in vascular surgery at the University of Toronto. He retired from the active practice of vascular surgery and transplantation in 2000, and has founded and serves as Chairman of Asentral, Inc. a commercial IRB and was a founding partner of the Medical Record Bank, a client driven system for maintaining medical records in the cloud. . Dr. Madras was medical program director at the Avco-Everett Research Laboratory from 1966-69 where he led a team of physicists, engineers and technicians in development of cardiac assist devices which are still in use today. He is currently a member of the department of Urology of the Lahey Hospital.
Dr. John Libertino is a board certified urologist who has pioneered some of the most complex surgeries involving urologic tumors, as well as being a leader in the field of urinary bladder reconstruction, renal artery bypass and “kidney salvage”. He joined Lahey in 1970. He served as Lahey Clinics chief executive officer from 1994-1999, as chair of the Division of Surgery and chair of Lahey Clinics Board of Governors. He served as Chair of Institute of Urology and Member of Board of Trustees at Lahey Clinic, Inc. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and has been in practice for 50 years.
